- Catch up on grading
- Create fundraising letters
- Double-check the implementation of my master's project
- Develop an organizational structure for this year's projects
- Clean the kitchen
Half-way through this list, I realize something about myself. My to-do list is not entirely benevolent. True, I create it to keep me on task, but I also create it to validate my own self-worth. A solid list of check-marks is sort-of a grown-ups version of gold stickers on a wall. I'm finally realizing that I keep myself busy to prove to myself that I am valuable.

You ARE valuable! You make a difference in people's lives. Both children, as a teacher, and us as your blog community. Just make sure you add some "fun-you" time to that list.

Any many who puts "clean the kitchen" on his to-do list is VERY valuable. :) You seem like a sweetie.
You also seem like a man who can accomplish a lot in a short period of time. That's a wonderful quality.
