Up-Close (where you can actually see the mistakes)It's nothing like what I imagined it would be, but I'm glad. The students took risks and experimented and I envision it as a work of art that will change as we add people, cars, and other details over time.
Today, a teacher asked how I taught them how to paint like this, but the truth is that I did very little teaching. I showed a few basics about shading and blending and the students developed their own style as a result. My favorite part is how the time of day seems to change on the mural as the sunlight changes outside. It's a pretty neat effect that none of us anticipated.
